So it is that time again, a short time has passed since Nautilus was released, and Riot is at it again. This time it looks to be melee champion. Is diablo 3 gold it just me or does her comic look a bit similar to how Talon’s was? I dunno, that was just the first thing that came to mind when I saw it.

The new champion is Fior, the Grand Duelist. The back story on her is this, as taken from LoL’s website:

Since “Duelists” are typically rogue classes in games, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this character classed as an assassin, which suits me just fine. Since I actually love using the assassin type characters in the game. What I am curious about most is her skills, which we may see tonight or tomorrow, going by Riot’s speedy champ releases. I am guessing something fast attacking with at least one or two debuffs or stuns, that or at least something that evades. That is merely an educated guess, but we will see shortly what her skills will be.

Tera has two things going for it: The graphics and the combat (At least while it feels new). That’s it. This game is not worthy of a $50 purchase or a $15 subscription fee. If you don’t believe me and haven’t played it, then I suggest you shove…. Yourself swtor credit into your car and pre-order the game, which will give you access to the remaining closed beta test weekends. Better yet, scour the web for sites still giving out closed beta keys. There will be a 3 day open beta starting 4/19/12 also. You will find it to be much like Aion or many other Korean games, save for the fact that it is an “Action MMO” and you have to aim your shots. After you start to quest a bit, the combat begins to feel repetitive.

A synopsis of what you will experience from the beginning of the game would be: Talk to people, kill stuff, repeat. It’s the same old quest grind from every other MMO in your life. Don’t be deceived by what are known as “Story quests”. You pack those in with your other quests that have a paragraph of text, go find the target and kill it. The story is scant and it is just like any other MMO with Kill X , Fed-Ex delivery, go collect Z quests. The world doesn’t really feel alive either, because outposts will just have NPCs randomly standing behind a table or infront of a tent in close proximity, not really doing anything or serving any purpose but to give you quests and sell things.

While fighting, you become numb to the fact that you are swtor gold playing an action game because you see through the monster’s predictable and slow attacks easily. It doesn’t feel like you are actually playing an action game as you’re never really in any danger and you’re stuck dancing towards your enemy in your attack motion. The attacks you get are unique in effect and trajectory (Unless upgrading old skills) but they are tied to various cooldowns and MP requirements. PvP buffs, take a minute to think about the “Approach” you make towards your enemy if you both can swing your weapons in a fixed manner and your rush attacks have a cool down. You’re pretty much swinging at each other (While both taking damage until someone gets knocked down) or trying to smack each other, get away, then repeat. Kind of difficult to explain, but if you see a PvP video or try the game you’ll get it. Jumping also does not effect combat and you cannot jump attack. It rarely is used and the distance you jump is always the same. What really bothers me is that it feels like you’re stuck dancing towards each other in PvP save for dash attacks.

Graphics are very good. The only thing I can say against Tera’s graphics is that you’re going to need a good gaming computer to play it. If it’s decent, you’re still going to have some gameplay smoothness issues. I wouldn’t suggest upgrading just for this game though. It seems to me like you’re a little fixed in movement though. It feels like you can move in only 8 directions exactly, making movement seem a little blocky

Then you have your run of the mill crafting and gathering, no big surprises there. Save for the fact that if you’re in a party you can harvest the same node as a party member, assuming you do it before the bar fills up. Another thing done right was that respawn times were good enough to not make a bottleneck in the newbie area. That’s about it.

For end-game there’s raids aka big ass monsters, the politics system in which you can become Vanarch through election or PvP. You can also do battlegrounds which are team PvP death matches (And how you become PvP Vanarch) as well as group duels for an agreed upon pot. I didn’t test these and maybe I’m missing something here so I can’t really make a judgement on end game except by extension of how I feel about the combat.

Lastly, we have everyone’s favourite topic: Elin censorship. Don’t worry, I didn’t base my judgement of the game on the censorship! Blah blah, modern times – why censor? I’ll just leave these pictures here at the bottom and end on the note that I only intend to save people the pain of wasting $50. Try before you buy this one.

Recently, Korea-based SG INTERNET obtained the operation right of “Eclipse War OL”, a new 3D fantasy MMORPG, through an agreement with its developer, Korea-based NDOLPHIN.
